Things have been so busy that I haven't had time to post! :)

Thank you to all of you who have sent feedback, and to those of you loyal returning customers! We truly appreciate your business.

We have added quite a few new items in the Clearance section, including some lovely girl's dresses.

As always, we are open to suggestions, so if there is something that you'd like to see added to our inventory, or a topic you'd like to read about in our newsletter, let us know!

We are contemplating adding a line of handmade dresses and jumpers to our inventory.

What an adventure it has been! Creating a website, opening an online store, writing articles... It has been busy, but also wonderfully positive! I began this website in the hopes of encouraging others, and it has ended up being an encouragement to me!

The first edition of our Modest Melly newsletter will be sent out the first week of July. In the future we hope to include articles from guest writers, so if you like to write, or feel that you have something to share, e-mail us at affiliates@modestmelly.com.

We've been making improvements and adding to our site, so you may notice some changes if it has been a few days since your last visit. We hope to continue adding new content. We have new articles in the works that will be added soon, so check back often. We have added new links as well.

I would like to take a minute to welcome you to Modest Melly's! We are so glad you are here.

Modesty is something that is very near and dear to our hearts. It is something that we have struggled with, and it is something that has brought us closer together and closer to Our Lord. That may seem strange to some, but sometimes something as simple as the way you dress can affect so much more.

In opening this store, we hope to be an encouragement to those famillies who strive for the virtue of modesty,for those who want to change the way that they dress, and for those who perhaps are curious about why we dress in a way that is different to this world.

We know what a challenge it can be to find modest clothing, much less to find it in a style that you like. We hope to be able to provide you with beautiful clothing at prices that are affordable, and in styles that are modest and pleasing to Our Heavenly Father. In choosing our inventory we look for items that are feminine, modest, and a variety of styles so that there is something for everyone.

We do not claim to be an authority in what the standard of modesty should be. We do not feel that it is our place to be judgemental. We have provided a range of items within a standard of modesty that is generally accepted amongst "modest" ladies. For this reason, in the description of skirts, dresses and jumpers we have included the length and whether or not the item has slits in it. We hope this well aid in choosing the right items for your family. If you have questions about something in our inventory we are always happy to help.
